Former journalist Emmanuelle Rodeghiero, who was passionate about beauty treatments, has started a new career as a fascialist.

She has developed a divine treatment protocol: a few drops of oil and an hour and a quarter of massage with her magic touch. You disconnect completely and leave with a drained and radiant face. Bonus: there's no risk of allergies or reactions—unlike traditional treatments that pile on the cosmetics!

Massages are the most powerful anti-aging treatment... Interview.

Where are your roots?
I'm a mountain girl, raised in the fresh air of Savoy. I've retained a love of walks, of hiking in general (no bus ever went up to my parents' house), of animals, and of the land that nourishes us, in every sense of the word. I also come from a modest family, and I'm happy about that. We must cultivate simplicity, which for me is an important source of well-being.

What makes you feel alive?
Nothing matters more to me than rich, fulfilling human relationships. A few genuine connections are better than a hundred empty ones.

You live in Paris, what do you like/dislike about this city?
The streets, never deserted, are comforting to me, having grown up in the countryside. On the other hand, being the highly sensitive person I am, I don't tolerate noise or close quarters well. I'm more of a tucked-away table kind of person at the back of a café than a crowded terrace, and I almost never take the metro. Paris is ideal for walking; I factor my walking time into my schedule.

What are your favorite beauty spots in Paris (or elsewhere)?
I'm a loyal client of Maison Suisen's shiatsu, Biologique Recherche's facial treatments, and Kure Bazaar manicures at BHV. Ideally, I do Pilates Booty twice a week with Julie Pujols Benoît, a formidable abs and glutes workout.

Where do you like to hang out in Paris?
Almost every day around 11am I go for a late breakfast five minutes from my house, at the Archives 18-20 café: veggie bowl, matcha cookie and hazelnut milk chocolate are often my preference, although everything is delicious in this hidden café, especially the avocado toast which is the best I have tasted.

What are your favorite forms of physical and spiritual nourishment?
I'm not a snacker; I enjoy eating, setting the table, having appetizers, starters, and afternoon snacks, often homemade. I simply stopped eating meat two years ago because I can no longer tolerate the conditions in which animals are raised and slaughtered. On a spiritual level, I escape into nature whenever possible, and I'm building a simple life for myself, without superficial complications. This frees up mental space to nourish myself with good things: knowledge, reflection, and questioning.

How do you recharge when you feel things are going too fast or sounding fake?
I'm a lonely girl; quiet moments have been essential to me since I was very young, when I already kept to myself, away from the hustle and bustle. I have no trouble retreating, ending uncomfortable situations, and no guilt about taking time for myself: meditating, taking a bath and/or reading a book, going out for a drink, or getting a massage. That said, I don't have children, I have an entrepreneurial husband who travels a lot, and I run my own business as I see fit. Add to that a rather "wild" personality, and my little world often moves at my own pace.

Powder: We want a doll-like complexion delicious in coconut yogurt as a complement to Bone Broth Atelier Nubio is rich in natural collagen. For beautiful, well-nourished skin, I use the Atelier Nubio gua sha every morning with an oil.

What was the trigger that led you to launch your facialist business?
I was a journalist, and while that profession offered me many wonderful encounters, it didn't satisfy my sense of empathy. I'm a generous person who has a lot to give.

How did you develop your facial treatment protocol? Do you continue to develop it?
I was trained by Alexandre Thang, a master of facial massage. His practice is unpretentious; he's a skilled technician with powerful hands, and he taught me the importance of deep pressure. I've also tried many facial massages and created my ideal protocol, incorporating the most pleasant techniques. I continue to train and refine my protocol, sometimes using beauty stones. I also trust my instinctive touch, which I first test on myself or my husband. I also wanted my protocol to be long enough—1 hour and 15 minutes—to calm the mind and allow for complete relaxation.

What skin concern did you want to treat as a priority with your facial skincare protocol?
The radiance, the open gaze, the redefined contours.

How would you like your clients to leave your establishment?
Lighthearted, full-hearted, serene-looking, confident, with high cheekbones.

What is your most exciting project at the moment?
Maybe I'll create my own Gua Sha.
