Adapt your activities and social life to each phase of your cycle to make your life flow more smoothly.
Menstrual phase (Days 1 to 5: menstruation)
State of mind : introspection, need for solitude and calm ❄️
We feel on edge, irritable, depressed. We feel inclined to pause, to reflect, to conceptualize (future projects). We accept this moment in the cycle where our energy needs to be more focused on ourselves.
We prioritize:
- Journaling, meditation
- Creative activities that we already practice (drawing, ceramics, writing...)
- Gentle movement, a walk in nature - Surrounding yourself with people to whom you can verbalize the moment of your cycle and your mood.
We avoid:
- Forcing oneself to attend social events.
- To be in a state of over-adaptation. This is not the time to subject oneself to a new environment, new people.
Follicular phase (Days 6 to 14: pre-ovulation)
State of mind: gradual return of optimism and energy 🌸
Estrogen levels increase - and with them energy, productivity, ability to perform, and openness to others and to novelty.
We prioritize:
- Initiate new projects
- To move, to change environment
- Solving problems, setting professional challenges
We avoid:
- Isolating oneself to take stock, to reflect on past moments
- An empty diary!
Ovulatory phase (Days 14 to 16: ovulation)
Mindset: Confidence, fluid sociability ☀️ This is the moment when energy levels and social and verbal intelligence are at their peak. Everything is open in this phase, let's go for it!
We prioritize:
- Planning discussions that require social skills (public speaking, asking for a raise)
- Initiating new relationships, networking, reaching out to others
- Testing new group practices (sports…)
Avoid: Staying alone indoors is not the best time for reflection and introspection!
Luteal phase (Days 17 to 28: pre-menstruation)
Mindset: structure, grounding, growing sensitivity 🍂
Progesterone levels gradually increase during this phase, accompanied by an intensified need for control and attention to detail.
- Finalize ongoing projects
- Define your vision, organize and plan your projects (moodboard, to-do list, calendar)
- Plan some fun activities (spa treatments, massages, coffee with friends)
We avoid: Starting new projects, forcing ourselves into new social or professional interactions
