We are very familiar with adaptogenic, energizing, detoxifying plants ... that come from very far away.
We have 'practiced' them, used them in the past in Atelier Nubio products - to become 'nuts' at the idea of the maca / ashwagandha association and to swoon over chaga, shisandra, tulsi or other matcha-spirulina with remarkable antioxidant concentration, and exquisite sounds.
These trendy exotic plants – which seem fantastic on paper (in terms of nutritional properties) – come from very far away, and even if they are organically sourced, traceability is a problem . How were they grown, harvested, dried, stored, and transported? We had a traceability issue with these plants (organic certification is not enough to hold producers accountable for respecting biodiversity, quality, and the safety of the plants), not to mention the carbon footprint of transportation.
Most of us don't even know what these super-plants look like , unfamiliar to our eyes, palates, and bodies. These plants, which come from very far away, which we know little about and which don't appear in the French pharmacopoeia, have they been tested on the Western population? Are we aware of potential allergies, overdoses, and contraindications?
It's true that these super-plants have an appealing side; all the health influencers and cool American and Australian brands use them. But hasn't this craze driven up prices and, even worse, attracted opportunists who saw a commercial opportunity and began cultivating them intensively, to the detriment of local, often nomadic, populations who traditionally used them? Some super-plants, which often grew wild, have practically disappeared from natural biodiversity. We also had an ethical and environmental problem with using these exotic super-plants.
With over 6 years of experience in plant-based micronutrition, we have chosen plants from the French pharmacopoeia for our natural supplements .
The French pharmacopoeia is recognized worldwide. Our country has a long tradition of cultivating, harvesting and processing medicinal plants - it is the ideal country to design and manufacture high-quality 100% plant-based supplements, respecting biodiversity and committing to optimal traceability .
The vast majority of our supplements are certified organic, 100% plant-based and formulated using plants from the French pharmacopoeia.
Plants that grow locally are adapted to their environment, to their soil – they contribute to the ecosystem of our regions . These locally grown plants, cultivated using traditional methods, are also more nutritious, and their micronutritional properties are enhanced. Artichoke, nettle, mint, fennel, horsetail, birch... these plants that you have already encountered, that you can picture, and that healed your parents, and their parents before them, are also the ones that will do you the most good. Completely transparent.
