What are probiotics used for?

Immunity, digestion, skin… How do these “good” bacteria contribute to our intestinal balance, and in which beauty foods can they be found?

A quoi servent les probiotiques ? A quoi servent les probiotiques ? A quoi servent les probiotiques ? A quoi servent les probiotiques ?

To begin, a short essential glossary:

Probiotics : Live microorganisms (therefore “good” bacteria), naturally present in the intestinal flora.

The gut flora (or gut microbiota) : All the bacteria naturally present in the intestine. Many of them perform essential functions for our well-being, notably by enabling the development of the intestinal lining, the synthesis of vitamins, and the protection of the body. And that's precisely why it's important to take care of it!

A healthy gut can therefore more easily absorb and digest micronutrients (vitamins, minerals, amino acids and fatty acids), and act as a barrier against infections - the key to a strengthened immunity AND beautiful skin!

Where can I find natural probiotics?

In lacto-fermented foods : Neither raw nor cooked, lacto-fermentation is an age-old preservation method! In other words, it's the transformation of food by microorganisms (bacteria, yeasts, molds, or fungi), which naturally produce aromatic substances, vitamins, and other molecules useful for altering the taste and preserving the food. This is the case, for example, with sourdough bread, sauerkraut, pickles, fruit kefir…

Our favorite beauty foods, rich in probiotics:

1. Raw cider vinegar (provided it's organic and unpasteurized ;)) Rich in potassium, it's the champion of vinegars, with remarkable digestive and antiseptic properties! It's easy to use in your salad dressings, for example, or for your homemade pickles.
Fun fact: Some members of the team even add a few drops to warm water, to sip throughout the day.

2. Miso
It's one of the fundamental ingredients of Japanese cuisine – fermented soybean paste. And it's also one of our favorite beauty foods for adding a twist to a sauce and giving it an umami touch.

3. Brewer's yeast
Not only is this tiny mushroom highly effective for digestion and restoring gut flora, but it's also rich in B vitamins (essential components for keratin synthesis, which makes up over 95% of the hair fiber). And that's precisely why we've included it in the formula of our hair supplement , "We want a growth booster ."

4. Kombucha
This fermented beverage, also known as the 'elixir of long life' in China, is made from green or black tea and (organic) sugar and contains millions of microorganisms. It's a great alternative to sodas and other fizzy drinks (but should be consumed in moderation).

Alongside a balanced diet rich in probiotics, take care of your intestines with our 100% plant-based supplements specially formulated to ease digestion.

- We want the detox routine : 2 supplements that work together to detoxify the liver, balance digestion and decongest the abdominal area.

- Our Bone Broth During cooking, collagen transforms into gelatin. This forms a film that strengthens the intestinal wall and increases the digestibility of food.
